This pasta sauce. This is the one you want to keep in your back pocket. It is the easiest thing in the world, is totally adaptable and is incredibly delicious. It’s my seems-way-fancier-than-it-really-is entertaining sauce but it’s simple enough for a quick weeknight family dinner.
Sometimes I cook up some Italian sausage to go with, sometimes I add cannellini beans and fresh basil, sometimes grilled steak or chicken on the side, but this time… this one was sooooooo good… we topped it with crispy crumbled bacon and big blobs of creamy ricotta. Not sure we’ll have it any other way now.
Oh, and any leftover sauce is amazing on pizza. 😎

Recept-achtig:

Pour about 1/3 cup good olive oil + a couple Tbsp butter into a large skillet and turn the heat on low. Add in 3-4 minced cloves of garlic. Let cook, on low, for 10 mins or so.
Add in one large can diced tomatoes and turn the heat up just a bit. Season with S&P and let it slowly cook for 20 mins or so.
Cook your pasta in salted water until al dente & reserve about 1/2 cup pasta water.
Drain your pasta and add it to the sauce, using pasta water as/if needed to adjust the sauce.
That’s it!! So yummy.
